Confederation of Indian Industry and
AIESEC
TRAINEESHIP
CASE STUDY
AIESEC has been providing 5
management trainees every year for the last three years to The Confederation of
Indian Industry.
The trainees are placed in
International Fairs Division of CII.
CII organise fairs like AUTO
EXPO '98, ITEF '99 and PETROTECH and they feel that international students from
specific partner countries would assist in CII's interface with exhibitors and
visitors.
The job role involves.
·
Servicing various
customers - exhibitors, visitors, contractors, CII personnel venue
authorities etc. ·
Preparation of
proposals, flyers and circulars as well as follow-up letters to clients ·
Acting as Hall
managers during the exhibition ·
Acting as
interpreters with top CII and Partner members |
Another objective for the
trainee is to foster cross- cultural interactions in CII and providing a new
perspective and a fresh look at the way normal and routine work is handled.
Ken Nakajima (Japan) and Kim B
Byoungrak (Korea) are two such trainees, who have successfully completed this
well-defined and short-term assignment.
"Both Ken and Kim
contributed towards the successful conduct of Petrotech '99 and IETF '99
exhibitions. His innovative evaluation criteria for exhibitors was used for a
correct measure of the level and quality of our services"
